Mosala Privacy Policy

Information Mosala receives

We receive the name, email, selected language, any age-13 confirmation submitted through Mosala’s sign-up form, and other account information you provide. We do not request a date of birth at signup. Supabase handles authentication; administrators do not see your password. Published profiles and listings may include descriptions, prices, locations, photos, portfolios and other media. We also process inquiries, messages, casting applications, simulated orders, reports and moderation records. Payments are simulated during testing and are not real; do not provide real payment credentials.

Hosting and authentication providers process technical request information such as IP address, browser, time and errors. Once visitor statistics is enabled, Mosala counts public pageviews and estimates daily distinct IP addresses for signed-in and signed-out visitors using daily keyed tokens and approximate country. Its statistics database does not store raw visitor IPs, account IDs, full URLs or browsing cookies. Shared networks, changing IPs, bots and blocked requests make these estimates imperfect. Collection starts only when switched on; older visits cannot be reconstructed. A separate individual-IP security-event log remains off. Its application hooks would not cover direct Supabase Auth calls; before any future activation we will update this notice.

How Mosala uses and shares information

We use data to run accounts, public posts, communications, requests, support, safety and test transactions. Public posts and profiles can be seen and shared by anyone. Private inquiries and messages are intended for participants and authorized operators with a support or safety need. The Admin statistics screen shows aggregates, not individual visitor histories. We do not sell visitor-statistics records.

Producer, Director and Writer/Author profiles may include a Showcase with descriptions, text excerpts, images, PDF work samples and external links. Published samples can be viewed by anyone; hidden samples are visible only to their owner and authorized operators. Uploaded files use private storage and a short-lived access link when viewed through Mosala. Deleting a sample or its profile removes its public view and queues its uploaded file for deletion; a failed cleanup, backup, or documented safety/legal retention need may delay final erasure. External links are not fetched by Mosala just because a profile is opened. If you choose to load a YouTube preview or open an external original, that provider receives your request and related technical data under its own privacy practices.

Site-wide advertising

If you submit an advertisement, we process its image, label, alternative text, destination link, proposed schedule, booking status, quoted rate and moderation decisions. Authorized administrators can review this information. Only an approved ad is displayed to visitors during its booked time. The advertiser's image and wording appear as supplied across all three site languages; they are not automatically translated. An ad can link to a website outside Mosala. If you follow that link, the destination site may receive ordinary browser and request information under its own privacy practices. Mosala does not currently use the ad slot to record individual ad clicks or build an ad-viewing profile.

Providers and international processing

Vercel hosts the site and processes delivery, security and runtime metadata. Supabase provides authentication, database and file storage. Google Cloud Translation processes text sent to translation features. Resend delivers transactional account email through the configured email path. GoDaddy handles messages to the public contact address. If you choose to play an embedded work video, YouTube or Vimeo receives the video request and related technical metadata. These providers may process data outside the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Their own logs, locations and retention are governed by their service arrangements; Mosala does not claim all processing remains in the DRC. Ask info@mosala.net for current processor details.

Retention and deletion

Account, listing, media, inquiry and message records remain while needed for an account or open interaction. There is no fixed automatic purge for these categories today. We review closure or deletion requests individually, remove public content where technically possible, and restrict necessary records for a documented dispute, safety matter or legal duty. Deleting a talent profile does not close the main account or erase necessary application history. We acknowledge and assess requests within 30 days, verify identity before releasing or removing private data, and explain any restriction or extension. The whole account cannot currently be deleted through a self-service button.

When visitor statistics is on, daily IP-derived keys and tokens for UTC days at or before two days before the current day are removed by daily cleanup, normally after about 47–71 hours depending on when during the UTC day a visit occurred. Failed cleanup, restore or a separately retained export may extend this period. The collector pauses when cleanup is over 26 hours late. Daily country and pageview aggregates are deleted at or after approximately 90 days. Turning collection off stops new statistics but not cleanup. Restricted manual backups and provider logs are not automatically purged by this job; separate controlled review and provider settings govern them, so we cannot promise a universal fixed deletion deadline for those copies. The individual-IP security-event log is off.

Ad images that are no longer needed are eligible for automated deletion after about 30 days: unbooked draft images after upload, rejected, cancelled, stopped or unapproved-expired ads after that status, and completed approved ads after their booked end. Cleanup may be delayed by a failed job, restoration or separately retained backup. Booking and moderation/audit records have no fixed automatic deletion deadline; we review deletion requests and documented retention needs as described above. An approved ad image can remain publicly reachable for a period after display ends while cleanup is pending.

Your choices and requests

You may change account information and edit or remove your own public listings where the interface allows. For access, correction, restriction, closure or deletion, email info@mosala.net, preferably from your account address. We may ask for proportionate identity proof and will explain records that cannot yet be removed for a documented reason. You may ask which processors receive your data.

Security and policy changes

We restrict access to private information and use technical safeguards, but cannot guarantee perfect security. For material changes we will post a new effective date and give in-app or email notice where practical before the change takes effect. Questions: info@mosala.net.
